iPhone 8 Design
The Apple iPhone 8 or iPhone X has been a long time coming. Let’s be honest, the iPhone 7 was a bit of a let down. Apple stretched their design refresh from 2 to 3 years and arguably the only significant change was the updated dual camera. The new publicly available images show a radical new design with edgeless screen display, wireless charging, dual vertical camera, OLED display, glass back, and slightly increased size. If we get half of these changes to the upcoming iPhone I’ll be a happy camper. In my opinion, in terms of quality, classic design and reliability, Apple is still the king. I’ve had my iPhone 6s Plus for almost 2 years and still operates just as good as the first day I bought it.
Edgeless Screen & OLED Display
The public images suggest that at least one version of the iPhone 8 will have an OLED display. OLED supply shortages have plagued Apple over the recent years and looks to still be an issue. Also, I think it’s safe to assume that Apple will increase its pixel count to a 2k to keep up with recent competition. The S8 has a beautiful display and it seems time for Apple to catch up.
